Group Therapy
What can I expect?
Depending on the specific group you join you may learn new coping skills, process difficulties with a group of peers, practice experiential learning through group exercises, or learn all about a mental health topic that is relevant to the group. Each group has a description that will give you an overview of what to expect before signing up. You may also have an individual screening session with the group facilitator to make sure the group is a good fit for your needs.
Groups run for different lengths of time ranging from a few months to a year. It is an expectation you will attend every group in the series for which you sign up in order to assure the best group experience for all participants.
Payment is due for half of the total sessions at the beginning of the series, and the second half is due halfway through the series. For instance, if a group is $50 per session and 10 sessions long, you will pay $250 for the first five sessions (1-5) at the time of the first session, and $250 for the last five sessions (6-10) at the time of the fifth session. If you need to discuss payment options, please use the form below to discuss in more detail. We may be able to work with you to create another payment plan.

Why does The Process Collaborative care about group therapy?
We strive to offer group options because we have seen the healing power of group dynamics in action and believe group therapy makes therapy accessible to more people. Our therapists have performed hundreds of hours of group therapy in settings across the continuum of mental health care and seen the real life change that results when therapeutic groups work. Your life is made up of groups - family, friends, coworkers, place of worship, and more. It only makes sense that therapy ought to exist in the context of groups too.
